Ministries, sectors and localities to speed up promulgation of open data lists
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has directed ministries, branches, and localities to work closely with the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) to speed up the promulgation of an open data list, to organize the development of plans, and to implement open data disclosure. According to the Ministry, open data is now attracting attention in many countries and territories.
More to do to be among leaders in open data
According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam’s open data on the national data portal is only one-tenth of Australia’s and 32.8-times worse than in the US. More effort is therefore needed to reach the goal of being in the 50 leading countries in the open data index by 2025.
SBV to regularly publish data
Data from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), which consists of bad debt ratios, credit growth rates, international balance of payments, and foreign currency market movements, will be updated regularly on its website.
