VnDirect has recommended that the short-term outlook for banking stocks calls for caution, due to concerns over rising capital costs and limited credit growth. However, in the longer term, some banks will enjoy strong profit growth over the 2022-2023 period, supported by solid asset quality, improving fee income, and reduced credit expense ratios.

Falling seafood demand in US may hurt stocks

High inventories, inflation, and lower demand in the US will make it more difficult for Vietnam to export seafood to the country over the closing months of this year. The Viet Dragon Securities Company (VDSC) believes the downward trend may put pressure on stock prices in the short term, but a discounted share price could be an opportunity to hold for the long term.
