Much to do to boost value of tea exports

The General Department of Vietnam Customs has said the average export price of tea from Vietnam is currently $1,781 per ton, only two-thirds of the average global price. The price is low due to shortcomings such as an unreasonable varieties, insufficient investment in high-quality tea, and limited processing and consumption. Vietnam has 370 organizations and enterprises involved in exporting tea to 74 countries and territories, but these are mainly raw products with low value.
