US extends investigation into Vietnamese honey
A US anti-dumping investigation into Vietnamese honey has been extended by 50 days, to November 17. This is the first time Vietnamese honey products have been investigated by a foreign country. Vietnam’s honey exports to the US totaled 50,700 tons in 2020, accounting for nearly 26 per cent of the country’s honey imports.

Scrap iron and steel imports up sharply
Vietnam greatly increased its importation of scrap iron and steel in the first half of 2021, reaching nearly 3.5 million tons worth $1.4 billion, up 32 per cent and 2.2-fold, respectively, compared to the first half of last year. Sources included Japan, the US, Australia, and Hong Kong (China).
