Central Hue city welcomed approximately 1.5 million international arrivals and  nearly 2.8 million domestic visitors in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 25.1% and 30.1%, respectively.

As a result, its tourism revenue was estimated at VND10.3 trillion (about $394 million), representing a sharp 56.2% increase from a year earlier.

The strong performance reflects the continued recovery of the tourism sector and the effectiveness of the city's promotional campaigns, destination marketing efforts, product development initiatives and a year-round calendar of cultural events.

For the second half of 2026, Hue aims to attract between 7.3 million and 7.5 million visitors and generate approximately VND20 trillion in tourism revenue. The city plans to achieve this target by expanding wellness, spiritual, cruise and culinary tourism offerings, while hosting a series of major cultural events to attract both domestic and international travelers.
