Taiwanese corporation to build optical equipment factory in Thai Binh

The Taiwan (China)-based Pegavision Corporation will invest $200 million in building an optical equipment factory in northern Thai Binh province, according to Dau Tu online newspaper.

The factory will focus on designing, researching, developing, producing, and trading in optical products and medical equipment.

Pegavision has signed an agreement with the Green I - Park Corporation to lease 10 ha of land at Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park to build the factory.

It becomes the 12th investor at Lien Ha Thai, bringing total FDI at the park to over $1 billion, according to Director General of Green I - Park Corporation, Bui The Long.

The Lien Ha Thai IP has attracted nine FDI projects to date, with total registered capital of $811.5 million, and two domestically-invested projects with investment of VND575 billion ($24.2 million).
