The General Department of Taxation will simplify at least 20 per cent of existing regulations and also cut regulatory compliance costs by around 20 per cent by 2025.
The moves are part of an action plan to improve the quality and efficiency of online public service provision in 2023 issued by the department.
Under the plan, it will review and propose plans to simplify business-related regulations and eliminate any unnecessary and inappropriate regulations.
It will also work to provide all administrative procedures online.
In the first half of this year, the tax sector handled 9 million dossiers from 901,800 businesses via the electronic tax declaration system.
Over 21,400 enterprises and household businesses have registered to issue e-invoices from cash registers.
