Enterprises from six countries and territories are introducing nearly 500 technologies and solutions at “Techfest Hai Phong 2023”, which opened in the northern port city of Hai Phong on September 18.

Participating countries include Vietnam, South Korea, the Netherlands, Israel, Singapore, and China.

Techfest Hai Phong is the city’s biggest annual event on science and technology and innovation.

This year’s holding is aimed at creating conditions for tech firms, startups, and organizations supporting startups to introduce their ideas and products and boost international investment and cooperation.

“Techfest Hai Phong 2023 is expected to promote innovation in agricultural digitization and tourism as well as food automation,” said Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee. “It’s an opportunity to develop new e-commerce platforms and business models to boost Hai Phong’s trade. It will also bring in many cooperative and trade opportunities to develop markets and products for both domestic and foreign individuals, organizations, and businesses.”

Many activities will be held on the sidelines of the event, including a conference connecting Vietnamese and South Korean businesses and a dialogue connecting startups with investors.
