Test runs on Hanoi metro line to wrap up in April

Test runs on the elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line will be completed by April, according to the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB).

This is the final step in an eight-step process of testing and calibrating the system before putting the project into commercial operations.

Starting from March 11, test runs will be conducted over seven weeks, with operational hours set from 7.45am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday.

Tests comprise three phases, each focusing on different operational scenarios, including normal conditions, restricted conditions, and emergency conditions.

There will be 57 scenarios in the three stages.

System safety certification is expected for completion by the end of June before the project starts commercial runs in July as scheduled.

The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line runs 12.5 km from Nhon in Nam Tu Liem district via Kim Ma Street to Hanoi Railway Station in Dong Da district.
