Authorities of northern Thai Binh province called for French businesses to invest in the province in the fields of high-tech agriculture, new energies, renewable energies, green industries, logistics and manufacturing at an investment and business connection conference held in Paris on May 23.
The event was organized as part of the Thai Binh delegation's working visit to France from May 19-23.
Addressing the conference, Mr. Dang Thanh Giang, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Thai Binh provincial People's Council, highlighted that Thai Binh was among the top five localities in Vietnam in terms of FDI attraction in 2023 with a total registered capital of nearly $3 billion.
The province’s export revenue to France last year reached $22.8 million. Major export products include garments and textiles, footwear, children’s toys, metal products, handicrafts and seafood.
On May 21, the delegation held a working session with a number of French enterprises.
At the session, businesses of the two sides exchanged information about their potential and cooperation needs, sought partnerships, and shared experiences for operating in the two countries.
