The Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Council has approved a plan for the development of four industrial parks (IPs) on a total area of nearly 1,900 ha.
The three industrial parks are in the northern province’s Phu Binh district and include the Thuong Dinh IP, the Yen Binh 2 IP, and the Yen Binh 3 IP, projected to cover 130 ha, 300 ha, and 300 ha, respectively.
All three are to develop into multi-sectoral and eco-friendly IPs, prioritizing projects using advanced, energy efficient technologies and renewable energy.
A fourth project, the Tay Pho Yen Industrial, Urban and Service Complex in Pho Yen city, will cover nearly 1,130 ha under planning to 2045, including 868 ha for industrial purposes and the remainder for urban and services areas. The IP will be a multi-sector, eco-friendly zone, prioritizing the automation, installation, electronics, and telecommunication industries. The urban and service areas, meanwhile, will be home to housing, education, training and research, healthcare, sports and culture, and commercial and other service projects.
As part of planning for the 2021-2030 period, Thai Nguyen province has set a target of becoming a modern economic and industrial center in the Hanoi Capital Region.
To that end, the locality attaches great importance to facilitating the private sector, high technology, and the establishment of production complexes to develop product and value chains to increase business competitiveness. It prioritizes site clearance to create a land fund for investors and the development of transport networks and IPs.
