The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has approved general planning for the Thinh Loc Urban Area in the north-central province’s Hoang Hoa district by 2045.

On 1,525 ha, the project will encompass the entire administrative area of Hoang Dong, Hoang Thinh, Hoang Thai, Hoang Thanh, and Hoang Loc communes.

It will be built as a complex serving industrial, small-scale industrial, commercial, services, and educational purposes and be the key transport hub of Hoang Hoa district.

The area is projected to accommodate 32,170 people by 2030 and 40,000 by 2045.

It is being developed towards becoming an ecological urban area to help ease population and environmental pressure on the provincial capital, Thanh Hoa city.
