The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has issued a decision approving planning for the Ngoc Vu urban area in the north-central province’s Thieu Hoa district by 2045.

It will cover 1,351.6 ha, including 584.62 ha for urban construction and the remainder for agricultural development and other functions.

The urban area will be developed into a socio-economic center of the northwestern region of Thieu Hoa district.

A services network will be developed, including supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, shophouses, banks, and other services for high-tech agricultural production.

Trade and services will be located along major routes to ensure effective transportation and links with key economic centers in the district and the province.

The total population of the urban area is estimated at 18,000 by 2023 and 25,000 by 2045.
