The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has decided to set up five working groups who will propose tasks and solutions to tackle difficulties and speed up the disbursement of public investment capital in the north-central province during 2023.
The working groups are responsible for consulting with provincial leaders on setting tasks and solutions to promote the disbursement of capital, with the aim of disbursing 100 per cent before November 30.
They will work with investors and relevant agencies on project progress and capital disbursement, focusing on key projects, those using official development assistance (ODA), and those within the socio-economic recovery and development program and national target programs.
The working groups are entrusted with tackling difficulties and obstacles in project implementation and capital disbursement and will report to local authorities in line with regulations.
Thanh Hoa province was allocated over VND12.5 trillion ($523 million) worth of public investment capital this year.
As of the end of March, it had disbursed over VND1.2 trillion ($50.2 million), or 11.6 per cent of the annual plan.
