Central Thua Thien-Hue province has posted estimated GRDP growth of 7.03 per cent this year, ranking it 28th out of Vietnam’s 63 cities and provinces, according to local authorities.

The service sector posted the highest growth, of 8.64 per cent year-on-year, with the industrial sector increasing 5.12 per cent and the agricultural sector 5.88 per cent.

Tourism has recovered strongly, with an estimated 3.2-3.3 million visitors welcomed this year, fulfilling the target for 2023.

The province has granted investment licenses to 25 projects this year with total registered investment capital of over VND9.37 trillion ($390 million).

It has disbursed more than VND8.9 trillion ($370 million), or 64 per cent of the annual target.
