Anh Tú -

Training expected to meet transport development demand.

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) plans to build a human resources development orientation for the transport sector by 2030 with a vision to 2045, which will focus on training the workforce on urban railways, express railways, and transport infrastructure.

Under a directive issued recently by the MoT on improving management over the operation of the ministry’s schools and institutes, it asked its Organization and Personnel Department to coordinate with the Institute of Transportation Strategy and Development to build the orientation in line with the sector’s development strategy by 2030.

The ministry asked its education establishments to review and improve training quality as well as coordinate with relevant agencies to study and develop training programs to meet the sector’s development requirements and Industry 4.0.

Under Vietnam’s railway network planning there is expected to be 16 new national railway lines with a total length of about 4,802 km by 2030.
