In a document sent recently to voters of southern Dong Nai province about the progress of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, the Ministry of Transport (MoT) said it will coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to speed up the completion of procedures to soon start construction of the remaining sections of the project.
The 220-km expressway, upon completion, will connect the southern province to the central highlands’ Lam Dong province.
It is designed to have four lanes and consists of four sections: Dau Giay - Tan Phu (60 km), Tan Phu - Bao Loc (67 km), Bao Loc - Lien Khuong (74 km) and Lien Khuong – Prenne (19 km).
The Lien Khuong – Prenne (Da Lat city) was put into operation.
The investment policy of the Dau Giay – Tan Phu component project has been approved and which is choosing investor. It is expected to be put into operation from 2027.
The Tan Phu – Bao Loc and Bao Loc – Lien Khuong sections had the feasibility studies appraised by authorized agencies and are expected for approval soon to carry out the next steps, according to the MoT.
The two sections have estimated investment capital of more than VND17.2 trillion ($682 million) and VND19.5 trillion ($773 million), respectively.
