Transport ministry allocates capital for Da Nang to conduct transport projects

The Ministry of Transport has decided to allocate over VND2 trillion ($84.3 million) of mid-term public investment capital for central Da Nang city to kick off construction of two transport projects and complete two others.

The city plans to begin construction of the Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan section of the Eastern North-South Expressway this year, at an estimated cost of VND2.1 trillion ($87 million).

The section is 11.5 km in length, entirely within Da Nang’s Hoa Vang district.

Another project planned for this year is upgrades to National Highway No. 14B from Hoa Nhon commune to Hoa Khuong commune, with a total length of 7.55 km. Construction will total over VND788 billion ($33.2 million).

Construction of the two projects will help complete the local transport network and boost socio-economic development.
