The Ministry of Transport has issued a directive asking relevant agencies to enhance management over implementation quality at transport infrastructure projects.

Investors and project management boards have been instructed to study contractors’ capacity and the origin of construction materials and equipment. Contractors violating the law will be strictly punished.

Focus will also be on conducting careful studies and surveys on the position and reserves of mines of materials and areas with weak land foundations and complex geology. Investors and project management boards are required to improve quality in preparing, appraising, and approving survey processes to ensure the supply of sufficient related data in line with regulations.

Calculations of investment costs for projects must be made in line with technical requirements, construction technology, and market prices.
