The Ministry of Transport has set a target of completing procedures to begin construction of 19 transport projects this year, including three expressways.
This is part of its action plan for this year, which was issued recently.
The ministry will also strive to accelerate the implementation of 23 other projects to put them into operation this year, including two component projects of the Eastern North-South Expressway - Dien Chau-Bai Vot and Cam Lam-Vinh Hao, which have a total length of 130 km.
The ministry will help localities complete procedures to start construction of eleven expressway projects.
It also plans to submit investment policies for the North-South high-speed railway project to authorized authorities for approval and to accelerate preparations for investment in key national railway lines.
Other tasks include speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital, helping ministries, sectors and local administrations address obstacles in site clearance, and supervising the working pace of contractors and consultants in key projects.
