Vietnam Registry (VR) will inspect the operations of vehicle registration centers nationwide from January 1.

The move was made after violations were found at some registration centers and units.

It is aimed at inspecting and preventing corruption and violations in road vehicle registration, according to VR.

Inspection teams will be headed by leaders of VR and its Road Vehicle Register Department. Team members will include inspectors from the Ministry of Transport and transport departments in localities.

Inspections will be carried out from January 1 to December 31, 2023.

VR will also review and propose amendments to related regulations to help close loopholes and strengthen management over registration steps at risk of corruption and violations.
