VET to host Vietnam Connect Forum 2026

The 6th Vietnam Connect Forum is scheduled to take place at 1pm on May 13 in Hanoi under the theme Building Integrated Partnership Between Foreign-Invested and Domestic Economic Sectors for Breakthrough Growth in a New Era."

Directed by the Party Central Committee's Commission for Policies and Strategies and hosted by the Vietnam Economic Association and Vietnam Economic Times/ VnEconomy, the forum aims to foster collaboration between domestic and foreign-invested economic sectors to create a breakthrough for sustainable growth.

The event is organized in coordination with several key institutions, including the Institute of Policy and Strategy Studies (IPSS) under the Central Commission for Policy and Strategy, the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME), and the Vietnam Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises (VAFIE).

The forum will bring together high-ranking Government officials, leaders from central ministries, local governments, domestic and international economic experts, and representatives from both local and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) enterprises.

Notably, a plenary session will feature the participation of Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister.

A highlight of this year’s edition is a high-level working session between Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Policies and Strategies, and leaders of foreign business chambers, domestic trade associations, and major FDI and Vietnamese corporations.

The forum’s agenda is structured into three key segments:

The keynote session focuses on three primary topics: connecting FDI and domestic investment to drive high growth; navigating the new global context and accessing capital for high-growth needs; and combining foreign and private financial resources for development in the new era.

The insight talk features  a specialized session titled "Supply Chain Linkages between FDI and Vietnamese Enterprises."

The panel discussion explores "Next-Generation FDI and High, Sustainable Economic Growth: From Attracting High-Quality Capital to Synergy Between Economic Sectors."

Following the plenary session, Vietnam Economic Times will host the 25th Golden Dragon Awards.

This prestigious ceremony will announce and honor 50 outstanding FDI enterprises for their contributions during the 2025–2026 period. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the program remains a vital platform for the FDI community in Vietnam to connect and share information.

The forum and the 25th Golden Dragon Awards will be livestreamed from 1pm on May 13 via VnEconomy.vn and the VnEconomy FanPage.
