National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the 2023-2027 period at the opening ceremony of Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2023 on May 12.

The agreement is a strategic approach to creating a new driver for the local tourism industry, promoting its advantages and potential to meet requirements in integration and development post-pandemic.

The two will coordinate to promote communications and tourism stimulus efforts in 2023 and the years to come in terms of destinations, tourism products and services, aviation, and investment opportunities. They will work together to hold tourism surveys, boost trade promotions, and promote domestic and foreign tourism and aviation markets, activities and events in cultural exchanges, sports, tourism, cuisine, and festivals at the national and international level in Thai Nguyen.

The province also decided to approve investment in the Tan Thai Golf Course in Tan Thai commune belonging to Tan Thai Golf Joint Stock Company, the first local golf course project.

The opening ceremony of the Thai Nguyen Tourism Season in 2023, with the theme “Experience the land of tea, rich in identity”, was attended by more than 500 guests from various departments, ministries, central branches, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, and tourism associations; leaders of provinces; tourism businesses and tour operators from cities and provinces; and corporations investing in or researching investing in Thai Nguyen province. It marked the beginning of a strong tourism season, making Thai Nguyen an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
