Vietnam’s trade value with Canada stood at nearly C$14 billion ($10.37 billion) in 2023, making it Canada’s largest trade partner in ASEAN, according to Ambassador of Vietnam to Canada, H.E. Pham Vinh Quang, the Government News has reported.
He revealed the information while addressing a recent conference in Ottawa in preparation for the upcoming visit by Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development Mary Ng to Vietnam from March 27-29.
Ms. Ng is expected to be accompanied by 150 businesses in areas such as food processing, biomedical, clean energy, new technology, information technology, creative technology, and aviation.
Vietnam and Canada elevated ties to a comprehensive partnership in 2017.
