A press conference was held on September 26 to launch the Vietnam Card Day 2025.

The Vietnam Card Day 2025 was launched on September 26 under the theme “One Touch – Million Trusts”, underscoring the country’s progress in digital payments and the banking sector’s efforts to build public confidence in cashless transactions.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director-General of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV)’s Payment Department, noted that after four years of implementation, the master project on non-cash payments has created a strong foundation for sustainable and inclusive digital finance.

Non-cash transactions have grown at an average annual rate of more than 62%, while the national payment system has remained stable and uninterrupted. By the end of 2024, nearly 87% of Vietnamese adults had bank accounts, reflecting rapid financial inclusion.

In the first seven months of 2025, mobile transactions rose 38.3% in volume and 22.2% in value year-on-year, while QR code payments surged 66.7% in volume and 159.6% in value.
