Vũ Khuê -

Businesses from 16 countries and territories to take part in this year’s holding of Vietnam’s largest trade fair from April 3-6.

Over 480 businesses are expected to attend Vietnam Expo 2024, the largest trade fair in the country and scheduled for April 3-6 in Hanoi.

Businesses will come from 16 countries and territories, including India, South Korea, Russia, and China.

They will showcase products at 550 booths, focusing on five main groups: Vietnam’s investment and export promotions; international products; electronics, equipment and the supporting industry; digital technology and e-commerce; and the food industry.

With achievements seen in 2023, an India delegation led by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) will take part in the fair, creating a basis for cooperation and exchange between the two countries’ business communities in 2024 and subsequent years.

2024 is the 25th consecutive year the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) has selected Vietnam Expo as a special event for promoting trade, commerce, and investment. The fair will continue to act as a bridge to boost bilateral relations.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Principles of Friendly Relations between Vietnam and Russia, and the Russian pavilion will gather together leading companies from Moscow that are interested in exploring Southeast Asian countries in general as well as seeking business opportunities with Vietnamese partners in particular.

China, meanwhile, is Vietnam’s largest trading partner and second-largest export market. The Chinese pavilion will feature over 100 booths displaying machinery and equipment from major cities and provinces such as Fujian and Guangdong. The pavilion is expected to bring more opportunities for technology transfer and investment cooperation.

This year’s expo will also promote Vietnamese brands and look to expand export markets for “One commune, One product” (OCOP) items from 23 cities and provinces around Vietnam.

On the sidelines of the fair will be activities to connect supply and demand as well as various workshops and forums.
