Vietnam has been named “Asia’s Leading Destination” for the seventh time at the 2025 World Travel Awards (WTA) for Asia and Oceania, held in Hong Kong (China) on October 13.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards are regarded as the “Oscars of the travel industry,” honoring outstanding achievements in tourism, hospitality, aviation, and destination management across the globe.
Vietnam’s Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark was also recognized as “Asia’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination.”
In addition to the national awards, nearly 40 Vietnamese businesses and destinations were honored at this year’s event. Notably, Hanoi was named “Asia’s Leading City Destination.”
