A program to promote Vietnamese tourism and connect with Indian tourism businesses are taking place in two Indian cities, Bengaluru on September 5 and Hyderabad on September 9.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, saw the participation of 31 tourism agencies and units from across Vietnam, along with 29 tourism businesses. It aims to promote Vietnam's unique destinations and tourism products to Indian travel partners and tourists.

The program in India included several key activities, such as Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings to connect Vietnamese and Indian enterprises, presentations on Vietnamese tourism, traditional art performances, and networking receptions. The B2B activities provided an opportunity for 150 representatives from tourism, travel, hotel, transportation, airline, and theme park businesses from both countries to meet and explore cooperation opportunities. Alongside this, cultural and artistic exchange activities not only enriched visitors' experiences but also helped them gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture and people.

Sharing insights with Indian tourism businesses, Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), said that Vietnam welcomes Indian visitors with a convenient e-visa policy. This policy features simple procedures, no requirement for invitation letters or proof of financial solvency, fast e-visa approval within 3 days, low costs, and a stay duration of up to 90 days.

From seven major Indian cities, tourists can easily fly directly to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc in just 4 to 5 hours, with dozens of flights per week at reasonable prices. The modern domestic airline and airport system also makes travel between destinations within Vietnam more convenient than ever.

The representative of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam affirmed the strategic determination to guide and implement promotional activities, foster collaboration, and build the national tourism brand in the Indian market. This effort aims to boost investment and trade cooperation, creating momentum for the sustainable recovery and development of Vietnamese tourism in the new era.
