Vietnam-RoK targets $150 bln in two-way trade by 2030

Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Yoon Suk Yeol agreed to strive to raise two-way trade to $150 billion by 2030 during their phone talks held on September 3.

During the talks, the two leaders discussed measures to further promote the Vietnam-RoK comprehensive strategic partnership, agreeing to boost economic, trade and investment cooperation in a substantive, effective, balanced, and sustainable manner and promote cooperation in labor, culture, tourism and education.

Party Chief Lam welcomed Korean businesses to join major investment projects in Vietnam.

President Yoon pledged that the RoK will increase the import of Vietnamese agricultural products.

They also agreed to enhance mutual understanding and political trust through maintaining high-level exchanges and meetings via Party, Government, parliament, and people-to-people channels.
