Vietnam-Russia two-way trade reaches $4.59bln in 2024

Vietnam's export revenue hitting $2.34 billion.

The two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Russia reached $4.59 billion in 2024, up 26.4% compared to the previous year, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Of the total, Vietnam's export revenue was estimated at $2.34 billion, a year-on-year increase of 34.5% and import value totaled $2.25 billion, up 19% year-on-year. Accordingly, trade surplus reached $90.2 million in favor of Vietnam.

Many groups of products recorded high export growth value last year, including seafood gaining $231.4 million, up 70% year-on-year; rice $7.8 million, 134%; garment and textiles $762.5 million, 55.6%; pepper $33.3 million, 72.5%; coffee $306.2 million, 25%; rubber $45.4 million, up 45.1%; and wood and wood products $5 million, 42.6%.

Meanwhile, Vietnam mainly imported products for production from Russia, including fertilizer $228.6 million, surging 73%; coal $913.2 million, up 7.7%; and chemical $102 million, soaring 93.4%.
