Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha met with Mr. Olivier Michalon, Global Deputy Chairman of Airbus Helicopters Group (a subsidiary of Airbus Group) on March 20th.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the existing cooperation and positive results between Airbus Group and its Vietnamese partners in the aviation industry.  He highlighted that progress in technology, management experience, engineering, and products forms the basis for Vietnamese partners to establish and expand sustainable, long-term relationships with Airbus.

The Deputy Prime Minister outlined his belief that Airbus could play a significant role in supporting Vietnam's aviation industry. He cited areas such as strategic development, human resource training, research, technology transfer, and component manufacturing within Airbus's global value chain. Additionally, he suggested potential new cooperation avenues in aerospace/satellites, helicopters, science and technology, search and rescue, security, and defense.

"Airbus Helicopters Global should implement further research and investment steps based on the development strategy and market potential of Vietnam," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

In response, Mr. Olivier Michalon thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for the meeting and emphasized Vietnam's status as a key market for Airbus Group in both civilian and specialized helicopters. He expressed Airbus Helicopters Global's commitment to focus on future investments in Vietnam, including research activities, technology transfer, and training for pilots and engineers involved in operating and maintaining next-generation helicopters.

"Vietnam will be the top and long-term priority cooperation partner of Airbus Helicopters Global," emphasized Mr. Olivier Michalon.
