Vietnam is striving to become a prosperous digital country by 2030, pioneering the application of new technologies and new models, renovating the government’s management and governance methods and the production and operations of businesses, according to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Addressing an event in Hanoi on October 10 to mark National Digital Transformation Day 2023, the Prime Minister emphasized that the government is determined to reach the dual goals of developing a digital government, digital economy, and digital society and establishing digital technology enterprises that are competitive globally, the Government News has reported.

Prime Minister Chinh, who is also Chairman of the National Committee for Digital Transformation, asked ministries, sectors, and localities to continue to invest in developing, upgrading, and modernizing digital infrastructure and help businesses speed up the digitalization of their production and business activities.

The national digitalization process has posted positive results over recent years, especially in data exploitation, digital infrastructure development, and the digitalization of data.

The national data sharing and integration platform is operating effectively, enabling the implementation of 1.6 million transactions daily.

The government and Prime Minister’s information system has been connected to 80 ministries, sectors, localities, and State-owned enterprises (SOEs), with data shared from ministries and sectors to 15 localities on a daily and monthly basis.
