A delegation of Swedish businesses, led by Ms. Sara Modig, State Secretary of the Swedish Ministry of Climate and Enterprise, is on a working visit to Hanoi and northern Hai Phong port city.
The visit, lasting from November 2 to 4, focuses on promoting cooperation in sustainable infrastructure and innovation, reflecting Sweden's commitment to accompanying Vietnam on its path to sustainable development and green transition.
Under the theme "Building Green Ports and Modern Railways," the delegation, comprising leading Swedish businesses and experts, held meetings with various Vietnamese ministries, agencies, technical partners, and private investors. Discussions centered on opportunities for cooperation in railway development, including the North-South high-speed railway project, as well as green transition in the port system and the development of new ports.
During the visit, Ms. Modig also met with representatives of over 70 Swedish companies operating in Vietnam, highlighting Sweden's increasingly important role in supporting Vietnam's modernization and green transition process.
