The Commission's functions and tasks will be transferred to the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Viet Nam, the Government Inspectorate and the Government Office.

Under the newly amended constitution, there will be no district-level administrative units in Vietnam.

Differences across all areas under discussion are narrowed down.

The country is the 10th BRICS partner, alongside Belarus, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan.

The law, scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026, is expected to promote national digital transformation process, paving the way for domestic tech enterprises to grow sustainably, integrate deeply into the global market, and contribute to establishing a new position for Viet Nam on the world stage.

It is set to serve as a driving force for national and regional growth while attracting global financial institutions and corporations.
