Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is planning to strengthen cooperation in the implementation of its capital projects in Vietnam, especially the implementation of green credit lines (SUNREF) to support businesses investing in the field of environmental protection and green growth. Since 2017, it has granted BIDV $100 million under the SUNREF program.

Vietnam aims to achieve its goal of digital transformation by 2025 to become a digital economy, digital government, and digital society, through cooperation with partners.

The industrial real estate market has seen mixed results in the north and the south of Vietnam, with FDI capital continuing to pour into the former while the latter has faced many difficulties in attracting investment.

A proposal to allow Provincial People’s Committees to approve the conversion of rice and forest land for projects has been submitted to the National Assembly (NA). Land planning must both meet the requirements of socio-economic development and protect the environment.

At its next session in November, the National Assembly (NA) will consider many important legal matters that directly relate to businesses as well as major socio-economic decisions, including an assessment of the impact of Covid-19 on people’s livelihoods and the business community’s activities.

The government has agreed to extend the storage of petroleum shipments temporarily imported into Vietnam for the aviation sector but unable to be re-exported to the end of December. This is the second such extension the government has granted.
