The law, scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026, is expected to promote national digital transformation process, paving the way for domestic tech enterprises to grow sustainably, integrate deeply into the global market, and contribute to establishing a new position for Viet Nam on the world stage.
During a meeting on April 5 to seek immediate and long-term measures after the U.S. Administration announced reciprocal tariffs on imports into the U.S., PM Pham Minh Chinh called for more initiatives to promote trade relations between Vietnam and the U.S. in a balanced and sustainable manner.
In his recent article titled “Rising in International Integration”, Party General Secretary To Lam highlighted that to achieve peace and development, it is a must to open the door to the outside world and cooperate with other nations, with international integration representing the highest forms and level of international cooperation.
Vietnam has coordinated closely and proactively with the U.S. to negotiate for fair tariff solutions and promote the two-way trade in a mutually beneficial manner, according to Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc.
During the talks, the Party Chief affirmed that Vietnam is ready to negotiate with the US on reduction of tariff rate to 0% on imported goods between the two countries.
