A number of Vietnamese businesses attended Fruit Logistica 2023, the world’s largest international fruit and vegetable fair and held in the German capital Berlin from February 8-10, to seek cooperative opportunities and boost exports.
The fair attracted nearly 3,000 enterprises showcasing products and hosted more than 4,000 visitors.
It provided an opportunity for businesses to create links with potential customers of businesses from over 140 countries and territories.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fruit Association Nguyen Thanh Binh said the fair is a good opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to expand markets and develop the fruit and vegetable sector.
Vietnamese fruit and vegetables are proving popular among many European customers, and the Vietnamese booths at the fair attracted many visitors on the opening day, he said.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the General Department of Vietnam Customs, after the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EUVFTA) came into effect, the volume of Vietnamese fruit exports to Europe rose 25 to 30 per cent.
