Vietnam exported products worth over $22.64 billion to China in the first five months of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show.
The export revenue brings the total trade value between Vietnam and China in the five-month period to $77.5 billion, up 25.4% year-on-year.
Computers, electronic products and components took the lead in export turnover with over $4.7 billion, surging 3.01% year-on-year and accounting for 21% of the country’s total exports to China. It was followed by phones and accessories with $4.6 billion.
Other key export products are fruits and vegetable; cameras, camcorders and components; chemicals; cashew nuts; coffee; and minerals.
With the achievements, China remains the largest trade partner of Vietnam while Vietnam is the largest trade partner and the second biggest exporter of China in ASEAN.
