Kinh Duong Vuong Bridge in northern Bac Ninh province, which has the highest steel arch in Vietnam, officially opened to traffic on October 11.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang attended the opening ceremony.
The tied-arch bridge, connecting Thuan Thanh town and Tien Du district, has a total length of 1,232 meters.
Total investment capital was estimated at VND1.926 trillion ($78.8 million).
It is comprised of 25 spans, with the main body featuring five steel arches, the highest of which rises 67 meters above the Duong River - a tributary of the Red River.
The bridge also helps link National Highway No. 1, National Highway No. 17, Provincial Road No. 287, National Highway No. 38, and National Highway No. 18, contributing to completing the transport network in the northern key economic region and boosting socio-economic development in Bac Ninh and other localities in the Red River Delta.
