Vingroup and China Pacific Construction Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a joint venture to bid for the contract to build Tu Lien bridge in Hanoi.

The projected bridge will be built under an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract.

The Tu Lien bridge project encompasses a bridge and roads connecting it with Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway, stretching some 11.5 km.

The 2.9-kilometer bridge, which will span the Red river, will have six lanes for motorized vehicles, two lanes for both motorcycles and cars, and two for walking.

The project demands an estimated investment capital of VND22 trillion ($863 million).

Tu Lien bridge is one of the key transportation works in Hanoi. It is included in the national transport master plan until 2030, with a vision to 2050, which was approved by the Prime Minister.
