Twelve cities and provinces around Vietnam will have at least one model for developing night-time tourism products by 2025 under a project initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
They include Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Hoi An ancient town in Quang Nam province, Da Lat in Lam Dong province, Can Tho, Phu Quoc Island in Kien Giang province, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
Initially, night-time entertainment complexes are anticipated in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City by 2025, with the remaining nine localities to do likewise by 2030.
Night-time tourism products will focus on cultural and art performances, sports, healthcare, shopping, entertainment, night tours, and night food services.
The project is aimed at promoting the advantages of night-time services to diversify tourism offerings, improve the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism sector, and attract more visitors and increase the length of their stay and their spending.
