Vietnam’s industrial robotics market reached $112 million in 2025 and is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.88 percent from 2026 to 2031, according to the “Vietnam Industrial Robotics Market Size, Share & Forecast” report.
The growth figures highlight strong development potential for the country’s robotics sector as manufacturers accelerate automation and digital transformation.
To help position and propel Vietnam’s strengths in the global robotics value chain, the 4th Green Growth Products and Services Exhibition (GRECO 2026) is taking place from October 26 to 29 at the Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in Ho Chi Minh City.
Organized by the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR) and the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the event features nearly 300 booths showcasing high-tech and green transformation solutions.
Covering approximately 11,000 square meters, the integrated exhibition ecosystem brings together more than 90 domestic and international organizations and enterprises, expecting to attract around 100,000 visitors.
A key highlight of GRECO 2026 is a 600-square-meter robotics technology demonstration zone, jointly organized by AICAP Group Joint Stock Company, AIBRAIN, AIROBO, and the China Robotics Industry Development Alliance (CDRA).
The zone showcases humanoid robots from Unitree and AgiBot, the Tieu Pi robot, the soccer-kicking K1 robot, as well as delivery and cleaning robots. The humanoid robots also perform choreographed dances to Vietnamese music.
Industrial robot density in Vietnam currently stands at an estimated 23 to 58 robots per 10,000 manufacturing workers, well below Thailand’s 84 and Malaysia’s 101. Analysts note this gap underscores substantial room for expanded robotics integration in local production.
The expansion of the robotics market is closely tied to the rise of smart factories. According to the “Vietnam Smart Factory Market Report 2026-2034” by IMARC Group, Vietnam's smart factory market was valued at over $926 million in 2025 and could reach $2.14 billion by 2034 as firms digitize manufacturing processes.
AICAP representatives noted that economic opportunities extend beyond hardware sales. As adoption broadens, demand is surging for system integration, software development, data connectivity, workforce training, maintenance, and operational optimization - laying the groundwork for a multi-layered economic ecosystem involving technology suppliers, system integrators, software firms, research institutes, and educational facilities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on October 26, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, emphasized that GRECO 2026 enables small and medium-sized enterprises and startups to access advanced technology, adopt sustainable production, and promote green consumption.
“Ho Chi Minh City identifies industrial transformation linked with green and digital transformation as a key task to restructure the economy toward smart, carbon-neutral, and sustainable development,” he affirmed.
Within the framework of the event, AICAP Group announced a strategic partnership with CDRA, AIBRAIN, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) to advance Vietnam’s role in the global robotics value chain.
GRECO 2026 also features five specialized seminars, forums, and B2B trade matching sessions focusing on AI, digital technology, green urban and energy solutions, alongside supply chain and innovation conferences with partners from China, the Nordic region, and Israel.
