Over 16,600 people found jobs through an online job transaction session on September 21, where they were connected with 116 companies from Vietnam’s north, according to the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
Employment service centers in Hanoi, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, and Ha Nam jointly held the session, which aimed to help companies recover production and business through finding the necessary workers, and also provided information on the labor market to workers, students, trainees, and employers.
Of the total, unskilled workers remain the most sought after, with 8,500 positions available, followed by workers with college or university degrees or higher, with 5,800 positions, and workers with intermediate qualifications and technical workers.
Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center Vu Quang Thanh said the center will organize more job transaction sessions in the remaining months of the year to help more workers return to the labor market.
Hanoi generated over 171,000 jobs in the first nine months of 2023, or 105.7 per cent of the annual target.
