The 21st Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production Societies (AAAP) Animal Science Congress 2026 will take place from October 28–31 in Hanoi under the theme “Sustainable Animal Production.”

The conference aims to place sustainability at the heart of scientific research, technological innovation and policymaking for the livestock sector in the coming years.

The forum will bring together scientists, businesses and government agencies from across the region to share knowledge and practical experience and seek innovative solutions to challenges related to disease outbreaks, environmental pressures, climate change, market competition and animal welfare.

According to the Vietnam Animal Husbandry Association, around 1,400 delegates have registered for the event, including approximately 600 international participants from 42 countries and territories.

The conference will focus on emerging issues such as livestock production environments, digital management, smart farming, smallholder livestock production, animal welfare, pets and companion animals.

A key feature of AAAP 2026 will be its emphasis on strengthening links among science, technology, policymaking, businesses and farmers.

The event is expected to provide an important platform for regional and international cooperation and help promote more sustainable and innovative development of animal production.
