US-based Cargill Group opened an animal nutrition product plant in southern Dong Nai province on September 25.
The Provimi Premix plant, covering 30,000 sq m in Trang Bom district, has a capacity of 40,000 tons of products a year and will replace the old Provimi plant in the province’s Bien Hoa city.
The new plant has total investment of $28 million.
In the first phase, it will be capable of producing animal nutrition products for both domestic use and export.
It will be the biggest animal feed facility in Vietnam and feature the most modern technology in Asia, according to Mr. Pham Duc Thang, Managing Director of Cargill Animal Nutrition Thailand and Vietnam.
This is Cargill’s eleventh plant in Vietnam, affirming its commitment to long-term investment and trade in the country.
