Some 3,000 companies and 500 brands are expected to participate in Online Friday 2023, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The event is part of national e-commerce week, scheduled for December 1-3, and aims to promote the development of e-commerce and the application of measures to help companies boost sales and develop sustainably.
This year marks its 10th holding, since the first Online Friday was held in 2014, demonstrating the government’s support of e-commerce, according to the ministry.
It attracted hundreds of thousands of consumers and companies nationwide last year. Total views reached 150 million, a nine-fold increase year-on-year.
It is expected to draw 1 billion views this year.
