The Ministry of Transport has approved a project to upgrade National Highway No. 28B between south-central Binh Thuan province and the central highlands’ Lam Dong province.

Total investment is estimated at over VND1.4 trillion ($58 million), sourced from the mid-term public investment plan in the 2021-2025 period allocated by the government.

The 68-km stretch will have a roadbed width of 11 meters, allowing a maximum speed of 80 kph.

The project will be conducted in the 2023-2026 period.

National Highway No. 28B is an important transport route for developing a sea-based economy and regional economy, helping localities in the region tap their potential and advantages for further development, particularly the tourism development triangle of Da Lat in Lam Dong, Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan, and Ho Chi Minh City.
