Vietnam’s export revenue to Thailand in the first five months of the year reached $3.23 billion, up 8.7% compared to the same period last year, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in Thailand.
The figure brings to total trade value between the two countries to $7.78 billion during the five-month period, down 1.67% year-on-year.
Key Vietnamese export products to Thailand include phones and accessories, computers and components, electronics, equipment, transport vehicles and spare parts, crude oil, glassware, and chemical products.
Meanwhile, Vietnam imported products worth $4.55 billion from Thailand, dropping 6.4% year-on-year.
As a result, Vietnam’s trade deficit with Thailand stood at $1.32 billion, a significant reduction compared to the same period last year with $1.81 billion.
