The northern Hai Phong city's People’s Council has approved an investment policy for a section of the Hai Phong - Ninh Binh Expressway.
The 24.19-km section that will run through Hai Phong to the former northern province of Thai Binh, which is now part of Hung Yen province, with total investment estimated at VND8.23 trillion ($313 million).
The section, once completed, will run from the coastal road interchange in Hai Phong to the National Highway 37 interchange in Hung Yen province.
The planned section will be implemented from 2026 to 2030. Construction expected to take place from 2027 to 2029.
The Hai Phong - Ninh Binh Expressway (CT.08) as a whole is 109 km long. Once completed, it will strengthen road connections between Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.
