The Vietnam Expressway Services Engineering Joint Stock Company (VEC) has proposed expansions to the access road to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway from the An Phu intersection to Ring Road No. 2.
The 4-km access road will be upgraded to eight lanes.
Total investment is estimated at over VND1.1 trillion ($46.2 million). Ho Chi Minh City will take responsibility for implementing the project as approved by the Ministry of Transport, with funding being sourced from the city’s budget.
Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025 and be completed by 2027.
The 55.7-km Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway opened to traffic in 2016 and had initial investment of VND20.63 trillion ($866 million).
